FT.LAUDERDALE—***The Who,taking a page out of what Prince did here in South Florida,not only held their Super Bowl Half Time News Conference at the Broward County Convention Center,but in the compact ballroom, they JAMMED. Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry performed BEHIND BLUE EYES, PINBALL WIZARD and WE WON’T BE FOOLED AGAIN in order. No word if any of those three will be performed Sunday night.

***Townsend was asked about his recent child abuse incident,and answered it without issue.

***Pre Game performers Queen Latifa and Carrie Underwood spoke for as few minutes prior to the Who.

***The early week rains have moved out and temperatures are expected to reach 80* Friday,but dip to a high water mark of 68 on Super Bowl Sunday.Rain is not in Sunday’s forecast.

***Friday is “Commissioner’s Day” as Roger Godell will hold his annual State of the NFL news conference and Friday night is the Commissioner’s Party which is always a tough ticket. We’ll have a review on both Saturday.

***Richard Dent learns Saturday if he gets into the Pro Football Hallof Fame.
