GLENDALE—John Danks pitched five scoreless innings and Omar Vizquel hit a two-run homer to lead the White Sox to a 6-1 victory over a Los Angeles Dodgers split-squad.Danks allowed just one hit, struck out two and walked three in the longest outing for a White Sox pitcher this spring.The Dodgers, who also dropped a split-squad game in Las Vegas against the Cubs, lost more than one bat against Danks, who said the broken timber was a good sign that his left arm is gaining strength. Carlos Quentin hit his first spring homer for the White Sox, connecting against Hiroki Kuroda in the second. Vizquel went deep and Lastings Milledge had a sacrifice fly in a three-run fourth inning.Dodgers closer Jonathon Broxton, who struggled late last season, tossed a scoreless inning in his first appearance since he was shelled Thursday in a loss to the San Diego Padres.Justin Sellers hit an RBI double in the seventh for Los Angeles.
