2011 Chicago Rush Season Schedule
Rush home opener against Coach Hohensee, Philadelphia Soul
The Rush will kick off the 2011 AFL season on the road, Monday, March 14, looking to avenge last year’s playoff loss to the Milwaukee Iron. The Rush nine-game home slate will begin on Friday, March 18, when they face off against the Philadelphia Soul, led by former Rush Head Coach Mike Hohensee. On Friday, March 25, the Rush will host the San Jose SaberCats who, like Philadelphia, are returning to the AFL after a two-year absence renewing this bitter rivalry.
The 2011 season finds the Rush in the Central Division of the National Conference. Chicago will play home-and-home series with division rivals Iowa Barnstormers, Dallas Vigilantes, Tulsa Talons and Kansas City Command (formerly the Kansas City Brigade); in addition to games against the four teams in the Western Division of the National Conference, San Jose SaberCats, Arizona Rattlers, Utah Blaze and the defending ArenaBowl champion Spokane Shock. The 18-game, 20-week AFL regular season will certainly test the endurance and strength of the Rush with six games against 2010 AFL playoff qualifiers and the past three ArenaBowl champions, Spokane Shock, Philadelphia Soul and San Jose SaberCats.
